Running through the mud for Raven for Kids

UPDATE: the Raven for Kids team did finish The Mud Day 2015! Thanks to all our friends and sponsors. Watch the video to see our mud guys in action:

Our projects are sponsored by our dearest friends and family. Until now we raised money by walking the 80 kilometer Kennedymars Sittard a couple of times the last few years.

Obstacle course covered in mud

Now we decided to start a new action for fundraising and promotion of our Raven for Kids Foundation to help handicapped children in the Philippines. Together with our friends in France we will join The Mud Day Pays d'Aix, a 13 kilometer obstacle race covered in myd.

This challenging race will not be easy to complete but cannot be compared to the challenge our handicapped kids have to go through every day. Sitting or laying down for 24 hours a day feeling tremendous pain and now way to express it to anyone. And even in such situation our kids are so happy and smiling when they receive our attention and support. They accept live the way it is as a gift of God and cherish every day.

We need your help

Just a small amount would already help our handicapped children to suffer a little bit less. Please make a donation and give a child a better future.

Arman passed away

Sad news: Arman passed away...

At the age of two Arman turned from a healthy baby into a sick skinny boy due to encephalitis. Arman sat in a wooden playpen in a dark spot of the small house looking pale undernourished. In January the sad news of his death reached us. Arman passed away on December 27, 2013 due to his illness and handicap.

A couple of days earlier he was still enjoying the Christmas presents of our foundation. Memories of this special bvoy will be forever in our hearts.

Christmas party 2012 at the swimming pool

Christmas party 2012 at the swimming pool

Just like last year, another Christmas party was organised at the swimming pool for all indigent kids and their families. Approximately 50 kids and 25 families joined. Everyone had a great time at the swimming pool. Jumping, diving and laughing! Within no time the water turned from invisible to black... many kids don't have the chance to take a proper shower. But hey, showering in a swimming pool is much more fun!

After swimming at the pool everyone could choose a present from the Christmas tree. As always the families were provided with Christmas packs filled with rice and other food. Also "Ukay-ukay" was a real success! During this activity everyone picked whatever they like from a pile of second-hand clothing! Our handicapped children also received a present from Santa Claus and their monthly hygiene products. A wonderful Christmas for everyone!

Thanks to all our sponsors!
